“Tempi Fà “(Once upon a time in Corsican)

In ancient times the strategically located Terra Vecchia was occupied by people carrying out agricultural activities.

The first vineyard

In the 19th century, Joseph Michon, bought together with Dr. Henri Rendu, the little property on the edge of the Etang de Diana. Joseph, a Doctor with a PhD in Letters and Natural Sciences, planted the first vines leading a hard life with part of his family. In 1887, with the arrival of the war, the family returned to Paris. While Henri Rendu had sold his share, the Michon family kept the Domaine until the 1960’s. (For more information about Joseph Michon - see his biography (in French)).

The Skalli family

In ancient times the strategically located Terra Vecchia was occupied by people carrying out agricultural activities.

Jean-François Renucci, acquires the Domaine.

Fruit producer, vigneron from 2006. Jean-François Renucci who owned the neighbouring vineyards on the east coast of Corsica, wanted to bring a new dimension to the Corsican wine industry. In his quest for excellence he replanted the whole vineyard with island grape varieties using ultra modern techniques and surrounded himself with a young, competent and dynamic team.

Conversion to organic farming

Jean François Renucci’s interest in protection of the environment and promoting responsible healthy consumer practices meant it was inevitable for him convert the domaine to organic farming. The conversion started in October 2015 and so it is with pride that we introduce our Millésime 2018 under the organic farming label « AB ».
